Impressions of Paris, Vedette de Paris, Boat trip
01/04/2019 - 31/10/2019
Paris as seen by the Impressionist painters.
To help you discover or learn more about the modern artists who painted scenes on and around the River Seine, Vedette de Paris has launched a new boat trip allowing you to see the Impressionists' Paris in an original way, from the river. The Impressions of Paris boat trip invites you to imagine yourself as Berthe Morisot at the top of the Chaillot hill, where the Trocadero is today, or on the Pont Neuf where Renoir and Monet worked side by side. Not to mention Notre Dame de Paris which has inspired many painters such as Lebourg, Marquet and Jongkind.
From the Eiffel Tower, guided by a commentary in French and English, passengers on the Impressions of Paris cruise can imagine the lifestyle and environment of these avant-garde artists in their time, during this hour long trip.
All passengers will receive a booklet with pictures of famous paintings to enable you to imagine, discover, compare, and analyze major works in the very spot where they were painted.
